Eligibility:

a. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
(i) B.Ed.
(ii) B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.
(ii) B.El.Ed.
(iii) D.El.Ed.with an Undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
b. Pass in CET of Government of Maharashtra
(Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the rules of the State Govt. whichever is applicable).

Admission Procedure:

Admission of the eligible candidates will be given as per the selection procedure laid down by the respective State Government from time to time/SNDT Women’s University.
Candidates seeking admission in the colleges from state of Maharashtra need to appear for CET.

Medium of Instruction:

The medium of instruction for the M. Ed. Course will be Marathi or English provided the Department concerned can make arrangement and is permitted to do so by the University.

Course Objective:

To acquire advance knowledge about philosophy,sociology and psychology of education.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the process of educational research and skill in conducting research in the field of education.
• Explore, reflect on and develop one’s own teaching practice.
• Develop insight into one‘s knowledge of and update oneself about one‘s academic discipline or other areas of curriculum.
• Prepare for other roles professionally linked to education/teaching, such as teacher education, curriculum development or counseling.
